His breath stuttered, warm and heavy in his lungs, his gaze dark as he watched her, mesmerized by how beautiful she looked like this. Free, unembarrassed, blissed out as she took her pleasure. His fingers moved hard and fast, working her as she reached her orgasm, slowing down only once she started to come down from it.
"You're beautiful," he breathed, feeling himself growing hard again already. His hands settled on her waist, petting the skin slowly. "Love you so much, Mary..."
Her laugh in response was breathless, a joyous, carefree sound. Steve always made her feel like everything was alright, that she would always be safe with him, and that he he would love her until the day he died.
Mary laid down on his chest, her legs still straddling his body, and kissed his mouth gently. "I love you too," she replied. "Did you like that?" There was a knowing grin on her face. Of course he liked it, but confirmation never hurt.
He let out a soft chuckle, his gaze warm and loving as he watched her, so very taken by the way she laughed. Hands trailing up her back, his arms rounded her in a loose hold, pulling her close to him briefly.
"I did. Actually, I— loved it. Watching you like that... I fall in love with you all over again, Mary. Every time."
"You fall in love with me every time you watch me touch myself?" she asked. Mary raised a playful eyebrow at him. She was fairly sure that wasn't exactly what he meant, but she got the idea. They snuggled like this, Mary laying on his chest and Steve with his arms around her.
"I think I need to keep that act to myself and only bring it out for special occasions," she continued. "I wouldn't want you to grow complacent with it." Mary gave him a playful smile and pushed her fingers through his hair.
"Yes, absolutely. That's exactly what I meant," he said, taking her tone in a playful way, grinning and chuckling a little himself. He hadn't meant it quite so literally, of course, but he had a feeling she understood his meaning anyway.
"Mm, I wouldn't mind that either... I like everything else that we do together," he kissed her forehead, nuzzling into her hair. "Even just holding hands. Or talking."
“So do I,” she murmured, putting her lips to his again. “I love you.” Mary laid her head on his chest and grinned again when she caught sight of the engagement ring on her finger. She’d never known that she could be this happy. Some small pessimistic part of her had never believed it either. But she was exceedingly happy, lying here with the man she loved more than anything.
After another kiss, she whispered to him again. “Make love to me? I want to feel you inside me.”
